Overview
Triveni Sangam Srirangapatna is the confluence of 3 holy rivers Kaveri River, Lokapavani River & Hemavati River. Though one cannot see all the 3 rivers, one can observe only 2. As per the belief, people come here too wash away sins with a dip. River Cauvery flows into the Mettur Dam in Tamil Nadu, from the point of confluence A few minutes walk from the Gumbaz to the east is the confluence of the two branches of river Cauvery which is a sacred spot for Hindus. The natural scenery here about is grand and good picnic spot. 1.2 km from Gumbaz, 2.5 km from Sri Nimishambha Temple, 3.4 km from Daria Daulat Bagh, 4.6 km Srirangapatna fort, 5.8 km from Ranganathaswamy Temple, 8.6 km from Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, 23 km from Brindavan Gardens, 19 km from Mysore Palace, 33 km from Somanathapura, 129 km from Bengaluru. The early morning view was really grand with Sun's rays fall on the river and gets reflected to show the depiction of the golden triangle.
