Description

Melody World Wax Museum is a musical theme museum houses the largest collection of musical instruments in Karnataka Melody Wax Museum holds the privilege of being the third largest museum in India.  Located at the panoramic garden below the Chamundi hills only 3 km away from Mysore Maharaja Palace very next to KARANJI LAKE. The building is over 90 years old and is a Mysore heritage building. Melody World Wax Museum is one of its kind in the world wax museum exhibits over 100 life-size wax statues and over 300 musical instruments categorized in various bands and stage settings. it hosts the largest collection of musical instruments in Karnataka.

This wax museum consists of 19 galleries with each gallery presenting a unique experience of the world of music and arts. An approximate of 300 musical instruments, both Indian instruments and western instruments have been displayed here. The music instruments showcased here at the museum belong to various eras, ranging from traditional ones to the modern as well as indigenous music instruments depicting tribal music.

It also has about 110 life-size wax statues. These wax statues and musical instruments have been placed in different settings of bands and stages. Some of the popular representations of bands are Indian Classical music such as Hindustani and Carnatic, Punjabi Bhangra, Middle East, Chinese, Tribal, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rock, etc. established by an IT professional named Shreeji Bhaskaran in 2010, this unique museum was built as a tribute to all the musicians of the world.
