You Can Fly To 59 Countries Without A Visa if you have Indian passport

Things to Know

A country's passport power ranking is basically based on the number of countries it lets you travel to without a visa. India currently ranks at 59 and allows all Indian passport holders to travel to 58 foreign countries without a visa or visa on arrival.

1.Bhutan

  • Type of visa: Visa not required
  • Visa Details: Visa not required for 14 days. Only valid ‘Travel Documents’ will grant entry (1) Indian Passport validity for a minimum of 6 months; and/or (2) Voter Identity Card, issued by the Election Commission of India. Indians coming to Bhutan by road are required to obtain an 'Entry Permit' on the basis of valid Travel Document from the Immigration Office of Royal Government of Bhutan at Phuentsholing, located on the Indo-Bhutan border opposite Jaigaon, West Bengal. Similarly, Indians coming by air must possess any one of the above-mentioned Travel documents and get the Entry Permit at the Paro International Airport. The 'entry permit' allows an Indian tourist to visit Thimphu and Paro only. However, any tourist going beyond Thimphu and Paro need to acquire a 'special area permit' from the RGoB Immigration Office at Thimphu on any working days (Monday to Friday)

2.Bolivia

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival. Must obtain a visa prior to landing for free, or upon arrival for a fee
  • Visa Details: Valid for 90 days. Bolivia offers visa on arrival facility to Indian passport holders for a maximum stay up to 90 days. There are many interesting places in Bolivia that can be considered over the hassle of obtaining a visa for another country prior to the travel.
  • Reason to visit: Sightseeing, wildlife, adventure, festivals, historical sites, etc.

3.The British Virgin Islands

  • Type of visa: Visa not required. All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from the British Virgin Islands. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times. 
  • Visa details: 31-day visa-free stay. Must hold tickets with confirmed onward/return reservations, all documents and sufficient funds to cover their intended stay. 
  • Reason to visit: Watersports, hiking, wildlife, harbors, islands, etc.

4.Cambodia

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days
  • What you can expect: Temples, sightseeing, heritage, etc.

5.Cape Verde

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days
  • What you can expect: Beaches, water sports, sightseeing, hiking, and wildlife.

6.Comoros

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days
  • What you can expect: Sightseeing, exploration, islands & trekking, among many

7.Cook Islands

  • Type of visa: Visa not required
  • Visa details: Valid for 31 days
  • What you can expect: Watersports, beaches, cultural tours, hiking, sightseeing, to name a few.

8.Djibouti

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 6 months with a return/onward ticket
  • What you can expect: Beaches, sightseeing, hiking, bird watching, wildlife, etc.

9.Dominica

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 6 months with a return/onward ticket
  • What you can expect: Sightseeing, waterfalls, snorkeling, handicrafts, and many more.

10.Ecuador

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Valid for 90 days

11. El Salvador

14.Jeju Islands

  • Type of visa: Visa not required
  • Visa details: 30 days visa free stay
  • What you can expect: Hiking, amusement parks, waterfalls, sightseeing, beaches and museums.

15.Grenada

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Visa not required for 60 days
  • What you can expect: Sightseeing, forts, beaches, wildlife, to list a few.

16. Guinea-Bissau

  • Type of visa: Visa on arrival
  • Visa details: Single entry biometric visa for 90 days

17.Guyana

  • Type of visa: Visa not required
  • Visa details: Valid for 30 days providing a letter of invitation from host

  • Visa details: Valid for 6 months

21.Jordan

  • Visa details: Valid for 2 weeks on proof of hotel booking and sufficient funds

Available at international airports Luangphabang, Pakse, Savannakhet and Vientiane, and at 4 land borders Friendship Bridge, and at 13 border crossings as well as Tanalaeng train station in Vientiane, which connects to the train station in Nongkai, Thailand

  • Visa details: Unlimited period under Svalbard Treaty[303] but it's practically impossible to board a flight/ferry to Svalbard without entering Norway. Hence the double entry Schengen visa would be required to go and come back from Svalbard to mainland Norway.
