Overview

Kishkindha Moolika Bonsai Garden is an exquisite collection of more than 450 carefully shaped and miniaturized trees. Located on Nanjanagud Road is the Avadhoota Datta Peetham Ashram Located on NanjanagudMysore Highway about 4 km from Mysore Palace, 10 km from Chamundi Hill, 4.1 km from Mysore Zoo, and next to shuka vana

The name Kishkinda is the name of the kingdom of monkeys from the epic Ramayana. Kishkinda Moolika Bonsai Garden was established in 1986 by Sri Sachichidananda Swamiji in his ashram. At present, it is spread over 4 acres The Gardens in the Ashrama have developed over the past three decades. When the Ashrama began in 1966, one of the first horticultural activities was the planting of hundreds of non-hybridized coconut trees on its western boundary.  The trees have been collected from various countries around the world such as China, Indonesia, Malasia, America, West Indies, and Singapore and all over the world as well as grown and nurtured at the site These bonsai trees also include the trees carefully grown in the Ashrama Garden. Overall, the Garden consists of very valuable trees ranging in age from 1 year to 200 years.  Sri Swamiji is even using some of the trees for medicinal purposes. Some of the unique bonsai trees have been also grown using special Music for Meditation and Healing rendered by Sri Swamiji. Hence, some of the trees have been named after Ragas from Indian Music System. varieties of trees and each one is placed in groups with Indian themes like Indian zodiac system, tunes of Indian classical music, stars, plants associated with mother goddess, and plants associated with the 7 sages.

  • The Rashi Vana Group consists of plants which have a connection with the Indian zodiac system.
  • The Raga Vana is comprised of plants associated with Indian classical music.
  • Nakshatra Vana is The 27 stars of traditional Indian astrology that are represented at the Nakshatra Vana.
  • The Panchayatana Vana displays five plant gardens closely linked with the concept of the Mother Goddess.
  • The Saptarishi Vana which shows seven plants which are linked to the seven Indian sages.

Cancellation Policy

  • No refund if cancelled : We know plans can change, and we're here to help. Unfortunately, no refunds are available once a booking is confirmed. Your reservation is final, and modifications or reschedules can't be accommodated. In case of cancellation, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
  • Unforeseen Circumstances : This activity requires good weather. In cases of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions leading this activity cancellations, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • Refund Process : Refunds will be credited to the original booking payment source within 10 business days, and cash refunds will not be issued
