About
Marari Beach also called as Mararikulam beach, is a beach located in Mararikulam a local fishing village on the Arabian Sea coast in Alappuzha District of Kerala, India, 11 km from Alappuzha (Alleppey) town. is perfect for those people exploring the Kerala backwaters who feel like some time at the beach as well. This beach is quiet and undeveloped. The name Marari is shortened from Mararikulam, a small and sleepy fisherman's village. In a quaint fishermen village of Kerala, Mararikulam, one of the most secluded and serene spots in Alleppey, Marari Beach is a pristine paradise hidden away from all commercialization. The beach is not usually flocked by tourists, so you can enjoy seclusion and peace at its very best here. At this tranquil, sandy beach you can sit for hours just to relax, unwind and let your spirits soar. During the peak tourist season, like in August, you can indulge in Snake boat race here. However, it is not recommended for swimming, because the sea water here could be contaminated.
